Start-up motorcycle manufacturer, is making strides in Cambodia's motorcycle market with the "Athena Smart System" featured on their new Calypso ORI model. This system offers advanced safety and connectivity options tailored for challenging local conditions. Through Athena, riders can sync their phones to the bike’s TFT LCD dashboard, enabling GPS navigation and call management while riding. In the final stages of development, Athena includes a fall detection system that, if triggered, allows riders to cancel an automatic emergency alert. If not cancelled, the system shares the rider's GPS location with pre-set contacts, aiding in rapid assistance in case of accidents.
Athena’s planned updates include anti-theft tracking and remote disabling, both expected to launch early next year after final testing by Startec Dynamics Canadian engineering team. With features like these, Startec aims to provide affordable, tech-forward motorcycles assembled in Phnom Penh and priced to be accessible to Cambodians while meeting modern safety and reliability standards.
